The Urban Cupcakery is a very new company established in 2016 in North Liverpool. Our main aim is to work with local young people in to tackle issues around mental health and wellbeing. We also put on local events for local residents such as firework displays and christmas parties. To help fund this we create beautiful, tastey yet affordable cupcakes for all to enjoy.
Reason behind the business Idea
The idea behind the cupcakery was created when we lost 5 friends within one year to suicide including 1 family member. Being so frustrated about what had happened we decided to look at what skills we had to offer in order to work with people and build relationships so that we could attempt to help those with depression, possibly prevent suicide attempts and to work with those who have attempted to commit suicide.
Do you want to get involved?
As we are a very new business, we are always looking for volunteers and/or donations. Please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on how to get involved.

The Makers Market Event
The Urban Cupcakery ran a 'Makers Market' as part of a larger festival in Walton, Liverpool. The idea was to give other local entrepreneurs the opportunity to get their business out there. We also catered at this event.
